WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND

Okay, we're not quite there yet, but soon to be!

I purchased this piece of salvage from a store called Artifacts, hoping to turn it into a coat rack.  I have been on a quest to find an unusual or different type of hook.

Well, I finally found them ~ all the way in sunny California, of all places!

I purchased them from Courtney's online store "French Nest Market Interiors".

Pretty shabby rose hooks!

When my package arrived from the French Nest Market I was delighted to find a sweet smelling scented French Soap!  Oh La-La, an extra gift from my friend!  However did she know I love to soak in the tub for longggg periods of time?

When I finally finished bathing ... we hung up our new coat rack!

Last week one of my newest purchases arrived (this time from Connecticut) -
A beautiful hand-painted sign by Lisa at Serendipity Chic Decor.

The colours were fabulous ~ the snowflakes were perfect!
I knew where this was going and what it was going to be paired with!

**My "Winter" vignette**

And this can be displayed all winter as it's not too "Christmasy".

The ice skates are too, too much! Did you make them yourself? And are they real ice skates all dolled up?

  16. Hello Lisa!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments. I have had so much fun transforming that room!!! I have been collecting things for years in anticipation of my daughter moving out and everything just fit into place perfectly.
You really like the floor lamp? Would you like to buy it? Let me know?
You did an excellent job on the shelf! The coat hooks are devine!! I love the roses!! I love the skates, too! I picked up a small pair last year at a thrift store and I was going to do something similar, but they "got lost in the house". I found them this past summer, so I will be painting them soon. I like the way you pianted the little (are they????) snow flakes.
    Take care, sweetie.
    Love and warm hugs, Laura

  22. Oh Lisa Sweetie...
What a beautiful coat rack. So original and just perfect for what you wanted. I love the little hooks. The blue is SO speaking to me.

Your skates are simply delightful. They sure do go with your winter sign. It is just precious and the little snowman, does he say "Happy" or what? I love it sweetie. I am afraid you guests will be spending a little extra time in your bathroom just gazing at all the pretties. Don't be surprised if some flashes start going off in there. I would be tempted to take a picture or two myself. So pretty.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving sweet friend. Thank you for giving me the gift of friendship, love and happiness this year blogging with you. You are a treasure to behold. Thank you sweet friend. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
