A WEDDING

Here is my eldest son, pictured many years ago during Easter.  He was so adorable but also a handful;  a very spirited boy with a mind of his own!

He provided me with so much joy and entertainment!  He was an extremely active boy who kept me on my toes and on the run with his various activities.

He played hockey, baseball, soccer.  He took swimming lessons and Karate.  He was a Boy Scout and an Army Cadet.  He took guitar lessons but ...

eventually settled on playing the drums!  He played in his school band and is now currently playing in a local band, looking for their big break.

And while vacationing several years ago, he met Erica.

They fell in love, he proposed and they started planning a destination 'beach' wedding.

Last week they tied the knot in Jamaica!

Sadly, I was not able to attend but along with other family & friends who couldn't be there .....

I enjoyed a live webcast of the event!

Congratulations to my son and his new bride but looking back, where did the time go?

Cheers - Lisa

  6. Conratulations to you new MIL! And to your son and new DIL of course. They grow so fast don't they? I look at my 23 yo daughter, and she talks to me about her new job as a teacher and enjoying her students, but I still see her as an 8 year old. Does that happen to you too?

    Happy Monday!

  7. Congrats Lisa!!

What a wonderful story about your son... and his new wife.

What a wonderful thing technology is that you could "attend" without being there! My niece got married in January (the one that I had the baby shower for) in Hawaii and of course, most friends and family could not attend. It would have been wonderful if everyone could have "been there" using the internet!

  19. Hi Lisa, I tried to email you but I can't open Outlook on my computer. Just wondering if you know of any junk stores in your neck of the woods. Every spring hubby and I like to go on our first junking trip of the season and we're looking for new places to check out.

  26. Oh Lisa Sweetie...
Congratulations to the new Bride and Groom. What beautiful photos and I am SO thrilled they had a live cam for you. At least that way you were able to celebrate along with them. Such beautiful photos and it looks as though they had a gorgeous day. The weather looked beautiful and what a lovely couple they make. I wish them as many wonderful years as DH and I have had so far, (35 in Jan.) and many, many more to come.

You did a beautiful job sweet one in raising this gorgeous man of yours. I know you are SO proud.

We are getting rain, a soft rain today here in the desert, and have a chilly 50 degree temperature. Cold for the desert. I needed the rain for the gardens. So lovely.

Loved the little pail that you sent to Victoria. It was SO precious. I am going to check out Debbie's Saturday Finds, I can't wait to see what treasures await me there.

As always sweet friend, a beautiful post. I love coming to see you. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
