This year is not the norm for me as I am usually much more organized with respect to Christmas.  I am behind on EVERYTHING although I did manage to get the main level of the house decorated.

There was more pressure last year as we were hosting my family Christmas dinner for 25!  Every nook and cranny of my home shouted "Welcome Christmas".  The message is much more subtle this year.

This is a small green tinsel tree I purchased a few years back for a mere $10.00.  I put my larger tree downstairs in the family room so this wee tree is perfect to display on my sideboard.  I must admit, I started this post several days ago and since then I have seen some VERY impressive trees out there in Blogland!  I do feel my efforts pale in comparison to what some have accomplished!  KUDOS to you (and you know who you are with those very impressive feather trees; tinsel trees; Canadiana themed trees; pink trees; traditional trees covered in sentimental ornaments; white trees and 14 trees!!!)  Yes, one of my blog friends has assembled and decorated 14 BEAUTIFUL TREES!  Nevertheless, I am feeling mighty festive today with the Christmas music blaring in the background and the snow on the ground outside!
So, I share my little Christmas Tree!

These are some of the little Victorian figures I've displayed under my tree.

Don't they all look so happy?  I'm hoping you're feeling Joyous too as we near Christmas Day!

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend!

Whether you have 14 trees like crazy old me or one very magnificent tree like the one you shared with us here, if you are happy than that is all that matters!

  6. Lisa your tree looks great! I just knew that you'd have some pink on it! The Victorian figurines were not a surpise either. I love that it's a tinsel tree too... I have a red one in my kitchen but I must admit I paid more than $10. I have a hard time waiting until the after Christmas sales.

    Happy Holidays!

  10. I applaud you! I love it too when I can choose to do less one year. I did less this year, although my friends laughed at me when I said that! But I did, and it makes me feel free. I love your ornaments. I assume you made a lot of the vintage ones, they are gorgeous and your little people just sparkle. What a cute tree. I only do one (do you dare say that in blogland?!) But I am off to visit Debbie and see 14!

  11. Hello Lisa,
I am behind this year, too. We just got the tree up at 4 pm today!! I'll put lights and decorations on it tomorrow.

I hope your Dad continues to recover nicely. Take care! Merry Christmas!

  19. I LOVE your little tree. The ornaments are beautiful. One looks a little like a decorated box and gives me an idea for a small box I saved to do SOMETHING with. Lisa, You always leave the nicest comments. I just wanted to say thank you and to wish you a blessed and merry Christmas! ~Lindy

  20. So pretty, Lisa! I love your silver and greens display! So elegant!
Wishing you and your family a very blessed Christmas!

  21. Good Morning Lisa Sweetie...
I love, Love, LOVE this tree. The roses and the little Victorian ornaments are SO beautiful. It looks gorgeous on your sideboard.

I love putting up the small trees best. They are the most fun to decorate and we can get so creative with each one. I think that it's because for me anyway, I am short, and I can reach them better.

I love the little figurines that grace the bottom of the tree sweetie. They are so Merry and definitely have the look of Peace for this CHRISTmas season.

A gorgeous share as always. Snow on the ground hu? Well it rained all night here in the desert, and today we are supposed to climb back up into the 70s and stay there for Christmas. I love this time of year here in the desert.

Many hugs to you sweetie. Merry CHRISTmas. May God richly bless you and your family this wonderful CHRISTmas season.

    So much love, Sherry
