TWENTY-ONE YEARS

21 years!  Yup ... Two Decades + One Year!

Not years of age (hmmmm, a gal can dream, can't she)?;

Nor an anniversary of wedded bliss (THAT ended in half the time)!

No, these flowers represent 21 years of continuous employment with the same Employer.

But they weren't presented as a token of loyalty or a pat-on-the-back for a job well done!

They were simply a beautiful & generous surprise from a thoughtful colleague who wanted to take a moment and recognize my years of service.

It's those special friends and co-workers who surround and support us daily that make 21 years feel as though it were just yesterday!

Cheers - Lisa

  2. Congratulations! What a wonderful colleague to think of you. They're beautiful! I have a coworker who is the bees knees and it makes all the difference in the world. In fact, I'll be celebrating 22 years in just a few weeks. And no, not age either, or wedded bliss, mine ended in half the time too. : )

  7. Wow is that ever an accomplishment! I've been at the same place for 18 years, last month so I can relate, just a little.

And the flowers are too sweet... LOVE the pot that are in. Your co-worker must really "know" you to pick something out that is sooo perfect!!

  19. Lisa, you do not know how lucky you are to work with someone who would take the time to do something that nice for you!
I used to work with the same 2 girls for over 20 years. They were my best friends. One retired and the other left nursing all together. Now I work with a guy that as soon as he opens his mouth , I want to stuff a sock in it. And the few others that fill in part time have nothing in common with me so work is no longer the place were I used to have fun!
Congrats to you on 21 years!! I will be hitting 33 years with the same Health System in Sept.
By the way, I LOVE your fireplace!!

    Hugs,
    Debbie

  21. Congratulations Lisa - that is quite an accomplishment. Years ago people expected to work in one place until they retire - what you've accomplished is not that common any more. It is wonderful when you spend so much time with co-workers that you're able to develop friendships. I have been a stay-at-home mom/wife since my son was 2 (he's now 24). I began home schooling my children and will complete my third child's schooling this May. I am looking to get a part-time job - so I hope to find good co-workers like yours!
God Bless - Hope you have a marvelous day,
    Kathy

  31. Hello Lisa,
Thanks for dropping into my blog. I have been so busy I haven't had time or else I have been sick in bed. But now spring is here and with the exception of a nasty hacking cough I am back to normal.
Your bouquet is gorgeous!!! Congratulations on your 21 aniversary with the same employer!!!
I have read some of your past posts and would be interested in getting together with you later this spring or in the summer. I live east of you, just north east of Belleville. Let me know what you think!
    Have a great week!
