SEASONAL MANTEL

Valentine's Day is a welcomed occasion to break up the expanse of the long winter!  For me, it's coupled with my Birthday so it's a great month of romantic celebrations!  I say "romantic" because as a gal who loves jewellery, this is usually the one time of the year when I can expect (or hope) to be gifted with a new piece!

Today I'm going to share the 'jewellery' on my fireplace mantel,
all accessorised for February's special days!

~Delicate Paper Roses in Tarnished Silver~

~Italian Made Rhinestone Embellished Clock~

~Vintage Chalkware Cherub Wearing Hot Red Lipstick~

~A Second Chalkware Figurine Sitting Peacefully
With a Feathered Friend~

~Love Plaque for the Love Shack~

With the addition of some cream candles and a glittered heart garland,
I've set the mood for some romance at Suburban Retreat!

Have a lovely weekend!

I'll be linking this post to the following parties:
French Country Cottage - Feathered Nest Friday
My Romantic Home - Show and Tell Friday

Cheers ~ Lisa

  14. Hi, Lisa! Thanks for visiting my blog, and complimenting me on my purchases, BUT the best was your wishing that I felt better with my allergies! Thank you! :) That shows what a kind, good, person you are!
And your post here is so PRETTY and whimsical!! Although I hate to say that I look like that little lazy cherub on the left! Oh, yeah -- lounging around and I think he's watching TV, like me!!! :)

  21. Hey Lisa!

That little heart garland is the cutest... but I think I like all the mercury glass the best, or maybe the little chalkware cupid... It's hard to pick from all of it!

I don't have a mantel to decorate so instead I have a couple of spots in my kitchen that I like to "do up" for the holidays. I guess I should be breaking out the Valentine's stuff or it will be time to put it all away before you know it!

I see that you guys were getting more snow... and cold... I'm praying for a little early spring in a weeks ;)
